I’m super excited about this post for two reasons. One, it’s a very cute theme and I love my manicure. And two, I took this opportunity to create this manicure as an e-gift to one of my oldest friends. Tomorrow is her birthday and I’d just like to say
We’ve been friends for almost 20 years now, can you believe it? Love you.
This week’s Twinsie Tuesday theme is an animal print. In honor of the birthday girl, I chose to do giraffe nails because it’s pretty much always been her favorite animal. And I think they came out pretty amazingly!! The more I stare at them, the more I think they look like nail polish stripes. What do you think?
I apologize for the lack of clean up. I didn’t bother since I know I was going to be stamping over it and would have to clean up again.
Anywho, this is one of those polishes that is super scary on the first coat. Streak city! It actually took three to even out and I still saw nails that could have used a fourth. If I was planning to wear this solo, I’d go for four thin coats. It had a really lovely formula though. It applied very smoothly, just streaky. And I love the color. It’s the perfect sunshine yellow.
Then I used an image from Bundle Monster plate 215 with Savvy Chocolate Mint. This polish has just a hint of shimmer which transferred really well in the stamp.I think this really looks like giraffe spots! I was worried the lines of the stamp would seem too sharp, more like stained glass. But it turned out really really well.
