Hello, polish lovers! In honor of the new year and my new blog design, I'm cleaning out my swatch folder. For the next few days, I'll be putting up all the swatches I did over the year (and a few nail arts), that just didn't make it on to the blog! Oops. :)
What do you think? Purple or grey?
If you ask me, Rimmel London Steel Grey is grossly misnamed. There is a strong purple tinge to this polish which I suppose puts it in the greige category. But I totally classify this as a dirty purple.
Either way, this is a very interesting color! It can read as a nude thanks to the muted color. Application was great with two easy coats and fabulous self-leveling, even thought the formula was just a bit sheer. And it's quite shiny as you can see. These pictures are without top coat.
This polish is part of Rimmel London's permanent Lasting Finish Pro line. I recommend you pick it up if you're looking for a slightly different nude alternative. But don't get it if you have Sally Hansen Commander in Chic. They are total dupes. Which isn't overly surprising since both brands are owned by Coty, Inc., I believe.
